CORONADO WOMAN’S CLUB COROSCOPE - August 2010

FROM THE PRESIDENT
August and September have been busy months for the Southern District 26 of which we are members via Federation.  I will be actively co-chairing the District Festival of Arts luncheon in February which will give me a chance to know all those other 15 presidents better.  Also, District has asked us to become involved in a “Trunk” Sale to raise funds and to support the cause against Domestic Violence, a nationwide project.  I will have copies of letters you can sign to forward  to Congress in support of HR 4116, the Family Violence and Prevention Service Act.  Some of you may have seen Dr. Phil’s shows in support of this also.

Please bring some gently used clothing, or other garage sale items to the October 6 meeting which I can take over to the District fundraiser on October 9.  Betsy

OCTOBER MEETING
Please join us as we meet October 6 for our first meeting of the Fall and a program featuring Captain Yancey Lindsey, Commanding Officer of North Island Naval Air Station. He will fill us in on improvements and changes under his command.   Remember to RSVP by Oct.2 directly to Diana Saxton at 537-0009 and /or drop off your $22.50 to her address, 908 D Ave.  No last minute calls, please!
