PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE - LIKE THE WARMETH OF THE SUN, AD THE LGHTS OF THE DAY, MAY THE LUCK OF THE IRISH SHINE BRIGHT ON YOUR WAY. Sure and the Irish eyes will be smilin’ at our March meeting. Come and join us for a sunny salad and some Irish stories from local librarian Theresa Geldart. The Golf Clubhouse management asks usto try to carpool that day since there will be a “little” golf tournament in progress. Well, reaching out to our “sisters” in the Woman’s Club is what it’s all about!
Welcome to our two new members Kathleen Fairbank and Emilie Fischbeck. Please welcome them by introducing yourself and offering a place at your table. Three more guests wait in the wings…Barbara Anderson , June Campo and Shiela Autio. We’re growing!
We have ten membersdriving out to La Mesa for the District Festival of Arts. Call Marilyn Foster if you can drive or if you need a ride. NEW SECTION
Our new evening section will be meeting and organizing on March 9 at the home of Kathryn Keitzer. (see enclosed flyer) Give the flyer to someone who might be interested or keep it for reference. The focus of the group will be cultural events such as book discussions, plays, music performances, etc. that might be held in the evening in the SD area. Like the cooking and travel sections, all members would be invited to the individual events. We are especially targeting potential members who cannot always attend daytime meetings but are interested in our community service and fellowship. Diana Saxton and Kathryn Keitzer are organizers, assisted by membership chairman Marilyn Foster.

MARCH LUNCHEON MEETING
Our March 3 luncheon meeting will host local librarian Theresa Geldart as our speaker. Please send your $22.50 reservation check, made out to CWC by Friday February 26, to Helen Alexander t 1520 Maria Place. Because parking will be at a premium that day please try to carpool.
CREATIVE COOKERY
Meet for a day on the Bay! Come join us Friday, March 12 for a fun ride on the Coronado-San Diego ferry and lunch at Anthony’s. We’ll meet at 10AM on the Coronado Landing by the Ferry Pier. For reservations, send $6.50 for round trip ferry tickets to Connie Kinzler at 720 Coronado Ave. Our no-host lunch at 11:00 AM will feature individual bills, tax and tip.
TRAVEL AND TREASURES On Wednesday March 24 we are heading for Liberty Station where we’ll have an easy walking excursion with time to enjoy the shops. We’ll meet at Vetter park at 10AM. Drivers are needed. Call Jane Kaliff 435-5233 on or before March 22 for your reservation.
