CORONADO WOMAN'S CLUB COROSCOPE - July 2009
MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT BETSY VERNETTI
Those lazy, crazy days of summer are here and I hope you are enjoying friends and family in our island “paradise.” While we take a rest from our monthly meetings, our busy crafters are still meeting at Marilyn Foster’s home on Tuesdays, making things for the Christmas bazaar. If you can’t join them, maybe by working on a arts or crafts hobby you can come up with something for the Southern District Festival of Arts in February. Any sewing, knitting, woodwork, jewelry or other creation can be entered in your name.
Our representatives Ann Knoche and Pat Cooley enjoyed meeting and getting to know Helen Luppi, recipient of the CWC scholarship for $3000. Helen will be attending Notre Dame University and entertained the “girls” with homemade pastries while they met her parents and siblings at home.
The CWC Board of Directors and Officers met August 3 at the Coronado Library- Winn Room at 9:00 a.m. for a discussion of recent plans and projects for the Fall. Let your Board know your ideas for meetings and worthwhile projects that interest you. We can always use new ideas!
